Manulife names chief information officer for Asia
Andy Bruce to lead efforts in strengthening insurer’s technology leadership in the region
The Asset   8 Oct 2026

Manulife has promoted Andy Bruce to chief information officer for Asia, effective October 1.

The insurer says the appointment reflects its continued focus on strengthening technology leadership and accelerating the delivery of simpler, more connected experiences for customers and colleagues across the region.

Since joining Manulife as chief information officer for Hong Kong and Macau, Bruce has successfully led one of the market’s largest technology delivery portfolios.

Under his leadership, the team has strengthened operational stability and risk management, advanced key modernization and AI initiatives, and built strong partnerships across the business and regional technology organization, the company says.

Bruce is widely respected for his strategic leadership, collaborative approach and ability to build high-performing teams while delivering meaningful business outcomes, it adds.

“Andy is a proven technology leader with a strong track record of execution, innovation and talent development,” comments Steve Finch, president and CEO, Manulife Asia. “He combines deep knowledge of our business with the ability to turn strategy into meaningful outcomes. His leadership will be invaluable as we strengthen our digital capabilities, scale AI responsibly across our operations and create better experiences for customers and colleagues across Asia.”
